At Sitting Prettie Academy, we greatly value the contribution of our models in supporting our learners’ journey towards professional qualifications. The following terms ensure transparency, fairness, and a positive experience for both models and learners.

1. Purpose of Model Participation

As a model, you play a vital role in the training and development of our students. Your participation allows learners to gain hands-on experience and build confidence as they work towards completing their qualifications.

2. Discounted Model Fees

All models are required to pay a heavily discounted service fee, which reflects that:

• Services are performed by learners in training under supervision.
• The procedures provided may form part of a regulated qualification and must be paid for in alignment with the awarding organisation’s requirements.
• The discounted fee is not for profit but helps cover essential training materials, tools, and compliance costs related to qualification standards.

3. Training Environment

• Please be aware that this is a learning environment. While every effort is made to ensure a high standard of service, learners are still developing their skills.
• All assessments and treatments are conducted under the supervision of qualified assessors to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards.

4. Model Conduct and Expectations

Models are expected to:

• Be punctual and respectful.
• Understand that services may take longer than in a commercial salon due to the nature of training.
• Provide constructive feedback to help learners grow in confidence and technique.
• Be patient and supportive, recognising that mistakes are part of the learning process.

5. Health and Suitability

• Models must complete a consultation form before any treatment.
• You must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or contraindications.
• The Academy reserves the right to decline a model if deemed unsuitable for a specific treatment due to health or training constraints.

6. Refund Policy

• Model fees are non-refundable, except where the Academy cancels a session or a student cannot perform the service due to unforeseen circumstances.

7. Photography & Media

• For portfolio and assessment purposes, models may be asked to consent to photographs being taken during treatments. Consent forms will be provided as needed.

8. Liability

• Sitting Prettie Academy cannot guarantee commercial-level results as learners perform the services.
• The Academy is not liable for minor errors or outcomes that may occur during the training process. However, every effort is made to maintain a safe and professional experience for all models.
